Rocket Science , often referred to convey something complex and stuff you can't understand.
So, I'm taking up a topic that is what signifies rockets.Yes , Rocket Engines. So, let's dive into the subject. Hi , it's me Namit, and now let's know how a rocket engine works. It works on Newton's Third Law which states that, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Think of it like this , you throw a ball upwards and it continues moving upwards till a point from where it starts falling down and hits the ground. After it hits the ground , the ball bounces back which proves the above law. This is exactly rocket engines work. They push hot gasses from a compressed nozzle towards the ground which pushes the rocket in the opposite direction , that is upwards. We call this push as Thrust. Rocket engine are classified on their thrust they produce.
To attain this thrust , rocket engine use two chemicals , in a ratio that increases their efficiency , one being the fuel for the engine and the oxidizer which increases the rate of burning of the fuel when the mixtures are ignited. This mixture is together called as propellant. Rocket propellants can be of two types. Solid State Propellants and Liquid State Propellants.
Now that you have learnt the basics , I will have a rundown between the difference between solid fueled and liquid fueled engines.
So , stay tuned until I post my next.
